Is it in the ground or a container? If it is in a container put it in a spot that is more protected from the hottest sun. Mulch it well with bark or weed whomping mulch. Make sure it has decent drainage. There are a lot of olderJapanese Maples trees that are not getting much care now and have sent down roots that are deep enough to sustain them. They are like kids, the first couple of years they need extra care and attention. I is not very happy with the spot it is in whether it is the soil as well as the hot sun.One thing I notice about a lot of the japanese maples is that they seem to get a certain amount of dieback after winter. I just trim it away in spring when the new leaves appear. They are making some specific fertilizers for japanese maples now. Just don't feed heavily late in the season, new growth is more vulnerable to the cold. Good Luck!

Japan has serious regulations on emissions which older cars just cant pass without serious money being spent,
Parts are slightly different, but ignore all the scare mongers, times have changed since the first imports, and they're not impossible to get.
Models are slightly different even though they are the same spec. A friend of mine imported a Shogun years ago, and was shocked that there were no rear seatbelts, at the time it wasnt a requirement in Japan.
Your only real issues are going to be:
1. Your insurance will be higher, as your car is an import and insurance companies will add money for that reason alone.
2. You wont get a relative value when/if you come to sell. Import cars dont get their full uk value. As youve found out, you can buy them cheaper and add the extra insurance premium many people dont want to touch them.
I’ve given some thought to getting the 3G AT&T iPad, but I think I’m going to pass. It’s another $130 plus $30 a month. Most of the places I’ll use the iPad will have free(ish) wi-fi: Starbucks, Barnes and Noble, Borders, etc. My smartphone is all the 3G internet I really need.

If they've been in the position for three years and are "failing", how have they not been noticed? How is it that no customer has called to complain about not getting an order wrong? If the supervisor doesn't do anything they should be reported too!
Maybe you should tell the boss that you don't want to start trouble or point fingers, but maybe he/she should hang around the office all day for a few days just to observe the way things are handled.
It sounds to me like no one cares, though, so the best thing to do would be to look for a new job ASAP!
