So recently my cell phone was stolen. Now were looking at one to replace it. Now I have my eye on an unlocked Japanese phone, but am wondering if I can use it with the plan i have in the states. Is there any way this can be done?

I’m quite sure you can as long as your carrier supports the frequency the phone uses. I would do a search and make sure before I buy.

try N73 music edition. its has an automatic sensor that can detect the amount of light and adjust the brightness according to it. the screen is relly big even the text writing and number. more than that, you don't hav to worry about the features, that phone has almost everything including a 3.2 mp camera. the only thing is its quite expensive and has a small keypad, but u'll get used to it i bet. my dad is using that phone(he's old)

Either you accidentally, or somebody else deliberately, may have disabled Caller ID on your phone. You don't say where you are; if you are in the USA, apparently dialling *82 will unblock it. If you are anywhere else, see this article:

you need to install japanese/asian languages. You go to control panel, and from there go to the 'Date, Time, Languages and Regional Options' category. From there it will say 'Pick A Task' and you choose the 'Add Other Languages'
When the dialogue box comes up, look down at the section that says "Supplemental Language Support"
Tick the box that says 'Install files for complex script' and
Tick the box that says 'Install files for East Asian Languages'
It will tell you it will take up a certain amount of space and just go 'OK' You should only need the East Asian ones so, you can tick that box only if you like, but I ticked the Complex script one as well, cause you never know when you may need them.
Which Britain is this? The one I know is pushing a dangerous ID card scheme, has a surveillance CCTV camera for every 14 people with few controls on how images are used, and is pushing through draconian legislation for Internet monitoring and censorship, with vast new powers to fine and jail without even the intervention of the courts! That’s the reality of the UK today, unfortunately.
Usually on a misdemeanor charge, the costs of fines, or restitution, do not cover the costs of extradition…it depends usually on what a maximum penalty is as per law, and the cost of extradition….
It also depends on reoffense, etc….first time offender would not get such a response, that a regular offender would get etc.
Some crimes do not fall into either catagory, such as Domestic Violence, etc….
BUT, all that being said, there is no statute of limitations, when a criminal crosses state lines…the statute tolls and tolls, and would only come into effect when the offender comes back into the state of jurisdiction…
It is easier on the conscience probably just to deal with the penalty, and move on with your life…in my opinion, rather than always watching over your shoulder, and worrying about extradition etc…
nope

did the phone that she gave you use calling cards?
if it used a normal monthly plan i don't know if you can just start using cards for it..
Unless both cards have SIM cards, then take the card out of the one that she gave you, then give it to her, but i don't know if the card that she gives you will allow you to just start using calling cards. but try it anyways
the cheapest is virgin mobile.
